Took me a little while to get this out this morning because I’ve been waiting for the latest information. I can see a small band of showers to the north of WDW right now (a little after 9am). These showers are associated with a WEAK front – very weak indeed (if you look at the temperature change don’t get too excited). That said, since we are in a rather dry environment, any storm that does fire up could fire up in a pretty big way. So these situations are a little tricky – I don’t expect much in the way of rain with this frontal passage, but any storm that does fire up could produce very gusty winds and hazardous lightning so as with any storm potential if you and the family are walking around a theme park – be smart and be aware of your surroundings.
Temperatures today will once again soar into the upper 80s and top out around 90 thanks to the front slowing down. I expect passage to be somewhere around 2pm-late afternoon so that will be your greatest chance for precipitation. Once the front passes you will notice a slight drop in humidity and then temperatures tomorrow will top out around 85. The rest of the week proves to be rather dry but once again we will see a gradual warming trend. The chance for thundershowers also increases towards the weekend.
Mark my words friends, the wet season is knocking at our doorstep – it cannot stay this dry while being this warm forever … so if you are a local … enjoy the rain free days at the parks while you can (it was strangely not crowded yesterday by the way at Epcot yesterday). Although if you really are a local you are most likely looking for the rain because your lawn looks like garbage :-)!
