Wow, thanks for coming back today even though I told you yesterday there wasn’t going to be much to talk about this week. Well there still isn’t … Mother Nature is busy wreaking havoc across the rest of the country. Honestly if you have not seen video of the mighty Miss cruising slowly but surely towards the Gulf of Mexico – check it out because it is incredible and there is nothing that anyone can do to stop it. It’s this awesome power that keeps me fascinated by the weather…my heart goes out once again to the people of Louisiana.
Anyway – like I said before today is going to be much like yesterday – VERY warm (yes clearly warmer than average) with high temperatures maxing out somewhere in the low 90s and then more of the same for tomorrow (though I’d put the temps maybe a degree or two higher).
Precipitation chances begin to increase as we head through the weekend and we could start to see more confidence in afternoon showers by early next week, but stay tuned.
Finally, keeping all eyes on the prize for NASA – they will once again attempt to launch the space shuttle on Monday. I’ll start weighing in on “weather related issues” sometime this weekend on my Twitter account because Laughing Place doesn’t really do updates on the weekend. So make sure to follow me – @WDW_Weather. As it stands right now – in the long range I am expecting more of the same when it comes to weather – warm and dry – so we’ll keep our fingers crossed that all the technical issues get resolved. There will be about a thirty percent chance of afternoon thundershowers as of now on Monday.
