Walt Disney World Weather Report for June 9 from @WDW_Weather

Has anyone ever heard that song A Change Is Gonna Come?  The Neville Brothers did a great rendition of this song, and it’s a fitting little ditty for today’s forecast.  Mother Nature does love her stability, but over the course of time a Change Is Gonna Come and that pattern change begins today.

It’s not going to be anything you notice over night, but over the next few days more moisture is going to be streaming into the area meaning higher dew points and higher chances for thunderstorms.  Models are still differing in how much, but one thing is for certain this is just another sign of the times that the transition into the wet season is coming.  A disturbance from the Caribbean will add some moisture into the mix, factor in daytime heating as we so often do and the chance for thunderstorms creeps up each and every day.

In the short term temperatures will remain where they have been which is basically in the low 90s for the park areas with a gradual warming trend into early next week.  As needed I will update on my Twitter page (@WDW_Weather) should anything severe pop up.

Tropics … are … quiet … (though we do have our first hurricane in the Pacific … but who really worries about that when it’s headed out to sea?)
