After uploading the weather yesterday with my Change Is Gonna come reference, I listened to that about 5 times yesterday (that Aaron Neville he’s got the voice of an angel I tell ya)…and for that reason I am going to continue with that statement as the main focus of the weekend weather forecast.
You may not notice it today, you may not notice it tomorrow but as we head through the weekend, a change is most definitely going to be comin. The wet season is a fact of life in Florida and we rounded the corner and have been in the straight away for a while now. So expect a wetter pattern over the next couple of weeks, but also expect a heating trend through the weekend.
High temperatures today will top out in the low 90s but models suggest that by early next week we will be hovering around the mid 90s. Once again I’ll agree with the national forecasts and give a conservative 20-30 percent chance for thunderstorms over the interior this weekend, but I will bump that number up versus bringing it down by the time we get to Tuesday. It won’t be long before you hear me say – 50-50 chance of thunderstorms every afternoon through October.
One quick note when it comes to the tropics. National Hurricane Center is monitoring a disturbed area to the northeast of Cuba – upper level winds are not even close to favorable but we’ll continue to watch it.
