Mother Nature gave us a little rockin and rollin yesterday afternoon and the same can be expected today – as the radar is already fired up this morning. Nothing should stop the east and west coast sea breezes from colliding over central Florida once again so once that happens – expect the potential for another round of possibly strong storms. There is plenty of moisture in the atmosphere so be prepared to have your afternoon interrupted at the parks if you are going.
Other than the storm threat it will be another hot and steamy one. Actual temperatures will be in the upper 90s and it will feel much warmer. I’m seeing that we capped out around 98 degrees yesterday – well the record high for today is 98 set in (1998 – interesting) – and we should come close to that if the storms hold off until late afternoon. I will say it looks like there is a weak cap over the area which should inhibit thunderstorm – so that may put things off a little later than yesterday. That said, anything after I’d say 1pm is fair game and you should be prepared.
Moisture levels remain moderate through the end of the week so it’s going to be the same old same old where afternoon thunderstorms are possible every day.
One again the National Hurricane Center is not monitoring any disturbed areas in the Atlantic ocean at the present time.
