The atmosphere is ripe for a repeat performance so, expect another active day today around Walt Disney World. While yesterday was not a complete washout – Mother Nature wreaked havoc on MCO as anyone coming in or out likely realized first hand. I can say that one person booked an earlier flight while they were at the airport as they followed my tweets @WDW_Weather so good for you … it’s nice to know someone is reading these things!
So yes with plenty of moisture to work with and what should be full sunshine for more than a few hours this morning … the conditions are ripe for more rain this early afternoon. Storm movement will likely be slower than yesterday meaning that areas that are prone to urban flooding will want to watch out as heavy rain may linger.
High temperatures should still make it up to the low 90s, but shy of the mid 90s thanks in part to the clouds that will likely move in. Rain could linger a little later into the evening today … whereas yesterday we were in the clear by late afternoon. Thunderstorm chances decrease through the weekend into next week (as of now) – but tomorrow looks to be another active day if you are planning ahead. Best bet for a water park at this point would be Sunday or Monday … though you are always good generally before noon.
