HUGE RIP CURRENT RISK! Once again I know this is primarily a source of information for Disney and other theme parks in Central Florida – but the overarching hazard today will continue to be very dangerous rip currents along the Atlantic Coast beaches thanks to tropical activity. While this powerful hurricane is not expected to impact the East Coast directly the rip currents are extremely strong – so if you are going to the beach – use common sense and make sure you are somewhere that is being monitored.
Lady luck continues to smile upon Florida this hurricane season as Lee formed far enough south from a stalled out front to likely impact Mexico and not the US Gulf Coast.
So for us today – as I type this mostly cloudy skies should continue to give another rather blah day throughout Central Florida as whats left of a stationary front continues to just kind of hover over Central Florida. Add a little heat to all that moisture and 1+1=thunderstorms this afternoon. So thanks to the clouds once again I think we’ll have a tough time hitting 90 for a high temperature but there’s a really good chance we’ll be seeing some rain today … rain chances continue (once again this moisture isn’t going anywhere quickly) tomorrow – they drop off a bit for the weekend but I still don’t feel good about a rain free day anytime soon.
