The Asian Business Association of Orange County (ABAOC) honored 35 local businesses for their contributions to the economy at its 16th Annual Recognition Awards Gala, held Nov. 19 in Anaheim. The most prestigious award presented was the Corporate Eagle Award, which this year went to the Disneyland Resort for its exemplary contributions to ABAOC and the Orange County business community. Vilmer Villaverde, 2011 president of ABAOC, said the award “recognizes the Disneyland Resort for its support of such ABAOC programs as the global procurement conference, as well as the Resort’s impact in Orange County through its latest expansion, which is helping to create thousands of jobs and stimulate the economy.
