Disney / Pixar’s latest film Brave opened at $66.7 million in domestic box office finishing #1 for the weekend. According to BoxOfficeMojo.com expectations were an opening if the $55 – $60 million range so it exceeded those expectations. However, at least one analyst called the opening “good, but not great” and said the box office, along with its good-but-not-great 74% RottenTomatoes.com score, may be a cause for concern given Pixar’s stellar history.
