It is like everyday the forecast looks worse for runners who don’t like the heat. Above average (slightly) temperatures can be expected into early next week without much relief … so if you aren’t trained to run in the heat you may be in for a shock if you are coming from say the West Coast or northeast because it is going to be darned hot for the start of this race on Saturday night. With dew points at 74 at the time of this writing it is downright oppressive.
So yes plan on highs each day to get to around 90 with (even better) the chances for thunderstorms increasing as we head into Saturday/Sunday and then an even greater threat (up to 50) for Monday. So if you are planning on staying for the Epcot 30th celebration on Monday … have those ponchos ready because during the heat of the day … you may need em. Nothing a little Off Kilter can’t fix!
