The Hollywood Reporter writes Lawrence Kasdan and Simon Kinberg have been hired to write either Star Wars Episode VIII or IX (the exact division of responsbilities is yet to be determined). Kasdan previously co-wrote Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. Kinberg is currently writing the upcoming X-Men: Days of Future Past.
