According to Deadline.com, director David Lowery (“Ain’t Them Bodies Saints”) has been hired along with writing partner Toby Halbrooks to script a Pete’s Dragon remake for Disney and producer Jim Whitaker. According to Deadline.com, it will not be a musical and at this point Lowery has only been hired to write, not direct.
