Disney Parks Blog shares info about upcoming October merchandise events you surely won’t want to miss…
October 5: Pick up a copy of “Remembering Roy E. Disney,” which draws a poignant and funny picture of a man revered and idolized by legions of Disney fans and admired, cared about and very well liked by all those that had the honor to know him. Author Dave Bossert will be on hand for a special appearance and signing from 9 – 11 a.m. at the Disneyana Shop in Disneyland park. Tip: It’s a great gift for any Disney fan, film buff or animation historian.
October 12: Leopard print never goes out of style, and neither does Minnie Mouse! Minnie Leopard is the latest from HARVEY’S for Disney Couture collection, and features a gorgeous, classic leopard print with a clever Minnie twist! Available in some of HARVEY’S most popular styles, including the super-sleek Marilyn Tote, this bold collection is trimmed in dark red and is the perfect accessory for any Disney fashionista. So be sure to be “spotted” at Disney Vault 28 in the Downtown Disney District and meet the creators Dana and Melanie Harvey from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
October 19: Stop in and see what’s popping up this month at WonderGround Gallery in the Downtown Disney District as part of the current exhibit, titled Pop Fusion. Join us from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. as we celebrate new Pop Fusion releases by J. Scott Campbell, Jasmine Becket-Griffith and Jared Andrew Schorr.
October 19: Join us for the launch of “Hanging at Sam’s,” the second in a series from the Happiest Hipster on Earth collection by artist Jerrod Maruyama. Jerrod will be on hand for a special appearance and signing from 2 – 4 p.m. at WonderGround Gallery in the Downtown Disney District.
October 25 – 27: What a treat! Linda Rick will be appearing at World of Disney Store in the Downtown Disney District as we celebrate the release of some of her Halloween-inspired dolls.
October 26: How did Tinker Bell get her name? Find out in “Tinker Bell: An Evolution,” a full biography about everyone’s favorite fiery fairy by author Mindy Johnson. So if you believe, and I know you do, be sure to pick up a copy and meet Mindy Johnson when she joins us from 9 – 11 a.m. at the Disneyana Shop in Disneyland park.
October 26: Debuting this month is the newest release from Artist Noah, titled “The Price You Pay.” Noah will be on hand to sign his latest piece from 2 – 4 p.m. at WonderGround Gallery in the Downtown Disney District.
Artist in Residence: Rounding out the month is Miss Mindy. Miss Mindy will be appearing at WonderGround Gallery in the Downtown Disney District, Oct. 4, 5, 11, 12, 18, 19, 25, 26 from 6:30 – 9:30 p.m.
Also, scheduled to appear at WonderGround Gallery in the Downtown Disney District and back by popular demand is Haunted Memories. Look for artist showcases on the following dates: October 5, 6, 26, 27.
