There are various reports that Disney Interactive is laying off 200 employees as part of the restructuring following the departure of the division’s co-chair, John Pleasants. This is despite the success of Disney Infinity. The layoff of approximately 10% of the divisions workforce is reportedly an effort to make the division profitable, which it has yet to be. This news comes out two days before Disney is scheduled to announce their earnings for the first quarter of their Fiscal Year.
