The Orange Country Register is reporting that the Disneyland Resort is laying off 85 cast members as it closes a Fullerton warehouse that manufactures costumes for the company’s theme park workers.
The layoffs will take effect May 29 when the warehouse will close.
The work will be handled by Walt Disney World once the warehouse is closed.
In a statement, the Disneyland Resort said, “Over the next five months, we will transition a portion of our costuming-support services to our Orlando facility to better support future innovation. We will assist affected cast members in finding other opportunities.”
