The Exotic Driving Experience at the Walt Disney World Speedway will remain closed indefinitely. Originally it was announced that the experience would reopen on May 1. It has been closed since April 12 when an instructor died after the driver of a Lamborghini lost control of his vehicle and crashed.
The Florida Highway Patrol and the Occupational Health and Safety Administration are continuing investigations into the incident.
A spokeswoman for Petty Holdings which operated the experience said, “Exotic Driving Experience in Orlando will remain closed as we work with the Florida Highway Patrol regarding the ongoing investigation.”
The Exotic Driving Experience, along with the Richard Petty Driving Experience, were scheduled to close in August as the Speedway is removed for further transportation developments.
The Exotic Driving Experience is currently operating in several other locations around the country.
