Following the success of their first publication, The E-Ticket Life by Kyle Burbank, Laughing Place Press is pleased to announce that they will now begin accepting Disney-inspired book submissions. Authors (first time or previously published) can send their book proposals to [email protected].
“I’m very excited that Laughing Place is introducing Laughing Place Press as another way to serve the growing Disney fan community,” site co-owner and co-founder Doobie Moseley said in a statement, adding, “We look forward to presenting several points of view on all facets of the Disney company to those fans.”
Although Laughing Place Press intends to have an emphasis on unique and entertaining Disney fan books, the imprint is also hoping to branch out into other areas of interest including additional theme parks, travel destinations, and fandoms. This also includes fictional novels covering these topics. However, authors with ideas outside of these genres are welcome to submit proposals as well.
Author Kyle Burbank, whose book The E-Ticket Life: Stories, Essays, and Lessons Learned from My Decidedly Disney Travels marked the debut publication for Laughing Place Press, will now be heading the search for upcoming projects. “The team at Laughing Place was so wonderful and supportive with my book that I really felt the need to help other authors and provide them with the same positive experience I had,” Burbank said. “I think expanding Laughing Place Press will enable new authors to get their voices and work out there — something I’m truly happy about,” he added.
Those interested in submitting their ideas can visit www.LaughingPlace.com/Press to see our complete FAQ and review our guidelines for creating a book proposal. Only those who have included all of the requested materials will be considered.
Laughing Place was founded in 1999 by Doobie and Rebekah Moseley. They can be found online at LaughingPlace.com as well as @laughing_place on Twitter.
