Everyone knows not to joke about bombs while in the airport and now we know not to jest about meth labs in Disney Resorts.
According to First Coast News, David Swindler of St. Augustine, Florida was recently asked to vacate his hotel room at Pop Century over Labor Day weekend after he allegedly remarked to a Cast Member that he could build a meth lab in the room before it was serviced.
Authorities later visited the room where Swindler and his family were staying and searched for any illegal activity. Although they found nothing, the family was asked to leave and Swindler was trespassed, meaning he is no longer welcome on Disney property. The order applies only to him and not to his wife or kids.
Swindler, who says he is a huge fan of Disney, regrets his choice of words, but insists he never expected to be taken seriously. As a result, he is attempting to appeal the ban with security at the Resort who are currently reviewing his case.
Editor’s note: While the trespass notice says Swindler’s ban includes Pleasure Island, that location closed in 2008. Also, Downtown Disney will soon be Disney Springs.
