ABC has landed a project entitled Imaginary Friend which comes from The Goldbergs creator Adam F. Goldberg and Disney Animation’s Patrick Osborne who directed Feast.
The Sony Pictures TV project will reportedly center around a man who meets the woman of his dreams, who has three kids. His transition to family life is complicated by the reappearence of an imaginary friend he had as an only child. While the humans will be live-action the imaginary friend will be CG.
Osborne recently tweeted the following which hinted at the upcoming project.

It is expected development on the series will continue throughout the year, with a decision on the series coming in May.
Feast won the Academy Award for Best Animated Short, while The Goldbergs continues to perform well as part of ABC’s Wednesday night comedy block.
