Variety is reporting that they have confirmed that Tyra Banks will reprise her role as Eve in a sequel to the 2000 Wonderful World of Disney Movie Life-Size. While the original premiered on ABC, it is expected that the sequel will air on Disney Channel.
“There is no one else that can play Eve but me, thank you very much!” Banks tells Variety “I’m just joking with you, but yes, I am going to be Eve.”
Life Size was about a widower’s daughter (Lohan) who accidentally brings her doll (Banks) to life while trying to cast a spell to resurrect her mother.
Banks recently scaled back her participation in ABC’s daytime talk show FABLife saying, “I will be devoting more time to my new, growing cosmetics company, TYRA Beauty, which is expanding faster than anticipated, as well as overseeing my company’s other entertainment ventures. I will however continue to support the growth and success of ‘FABLife’ and greatly admire my fellow co-hosts and the talented production team behind the show.
Regarding on the timing of the sequel, Tyra Bank said, “I think it will be 2016,” she says. “We’re looking at it as a holiday movie so hopefully holiday 2016. One thing is it’s a very precious project to the Disney Channel so they’ve been doing a lot of re-writes and making sure that this script is really right. I’m really excited about it. I think ‘Life-Size’ is so popular that it can be a feature film because it has such a cult following, so I’m really interested to see what the ratings are going to do for that. I think it’s going to be a blockbuster on TV.”
