Earlier this week Orlando Theme Park News reported the (devastating) news that churros would no longer be available at Animal Kingdom:
some of the kiosks around Animal Kingdom updated their menus to reflect some changes. Starting from today, jalapeño pretzels will no longer be available in the park (this item was formerly sold at Eight Spoon Cafe, Harambe Fruit Market, and Maharajah Pretzel); they will continue to be sold at Typhoon Lagoon and at Epcot. Eight Spoon Cafe has also removed the lobster macaroni and cheese dish. In addition to that, churros are no longer available in the park.
As if that weren’t enough, The Disney Blog’s Facebook page reported the Spicy and Sweet Chicken Waffle at the Magic Kingdom’s Sleepy Hollow has also been removed.
A dish apparently so good, it warranted its own review. It’s also worth noting that LP executive editorial director Kyle Burbank and his wife enjoyed the waffle sandwiches on their first date. So long, old friend.
