Waiter said occasionally he sees people swiping on the menu like they’re trying to see a new page. Hilarity ensues.
These are not the first backlit menus Disney has done. Some of the adult areas on the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy cruise ships have had backlit menus since their inception in 2011 and 2012 respectively. A quick search of the net also turned up the news that Epcot’s Le Cellier added backlit menus in 2013.
