The classic Star Wars trilogy films will be playing roadshow style at multiple Alamo Drafthouse Cinema locations this summer. However, according to Entertainment Weekly, the films will be presented in their 1997 versions. It is unclear if they we screen in 35mm film or digital.
In regards to the special events, Henri Mazza of Alamo said, “It’s always been a dream to show the original Star Wars trilogy again – somehow, someway. Seeing the original trilogy on the big screen for the first time is a real life-altering event and just a supreme amount of fun. When the films became available to book for screenings like these, we jumped at the chance to do something big.”
More info on these screenings can be found at ReturnoftheTrilogy.com and most tickets will go on sale May 4th, 2016.
