ESPN has announced that former U.S. soccer star Abby Wambach will be joining the network as an analyst and contributor. According to AP, Wambach will cover the European Championships in France and the Rio Olympics in August but will also contribute beyond soccer.
Wambach, the FIFA World Player of the year in 2012, scored 184 career goals, more than any other player, male or female. She retired in December after 15 years with the U.S. women’s national team.
