Rumors reported on by Orlando Weekly suggest that the Disney Vacation Club could be looking to bring more new, refreshed rooms to the Contemporary Resort at Walt Disney World once again. In 2009 DVC opened Bay Lake Tower next to the resort’s iconic A-fame main building where the North Garden Wing once stood but now it seems there may be plans to provide more updated rooms to their Vacation Club guests in the coming years.
Currently there are a few theories as to where the new tower would go including replacing the South Garden Wing or the convention center site. Wherever they do end up being built (if at all), many expect the new rooms to be very much on the high-end with a focus on luxury. Some even say they could outprice the $3,000 a night Polynesian bungalows that opened last year.
Unfortunately Disney has yet to announce any official plans for a DVC expansion at the Contemporary and it could be some time before they do.
