An audition notice posted by Disney suggests that the character of Doctor Strange — played by Benedict Cumberbatch in the upcoming film — could be making an appearance at Walt Disney World in the future. This news was picked up by WDWMagic although it’s unclear whether this would be for a parade, meet and greet, show, or some other purpose. The Doctor’s appearance would also be notable as he is (apparently) be one of the Marvel characters that is not part of Universal’s overall licensing deal which has prevented the east coast resort from injecting any comic book characters into the parks aside from a brief appearance by Star-Lord and Gamora at a Hollywood Studios hard-ticket party as well as a preview for that film (a similar preview has also been announced for Doctor Strange).
Meanwhile, Doctor Strange will open in theatres November 4th.
