Playbill is reporting that a month-long developmental lab for Disney’s upcoming Frozen Broadway adaptation in New York City starting today ahead of an announced pre-Broadway world premiere at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts next summer.
The lab combines the show’s new director Michael Grandage and recently announced scenic designer Christopher Oram with the existing creative team including songwriters Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez as well as the film’s screenwriter Jennifer Lee.
No casting for the lab has been announced. Last spring, Disney held a reading that featured Betsy Wolfe as Elsa, Patti Murin as Elsa, and Okieriete Onaodowan as Kristoff.
