According to The Hollywood Reporter, Disney is set to produce a film musical adaptation of Oliver Twist starring Ice Cube as Fagin. Tommy Kail, who directed the Broadway smash hit Hamilton, is also attached to the project.
Sources tell THR that the film will blend many genre’s including hip-hop, which both Ice Cube and Hamilton are known for. Currently no release date has been set for the project.
