Five NFL Pro Bowl stars, wide receivers Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders of the Denver Broncos, tight ends Greg Olsen of the Carolina Panthers and Delanie Walker of the Tennessee Titans and linebacker Ryan Shazier of the Pittsburgh Steelers, will participate in a celebration parade Friday, January 27 down Main Street, U.S.A. at the Magic Kingdom.
In the grand Disney style of celebrating achievement by sports stars and celebrities in other fields, Walt Disney World will strike up the music, shower down the confetti and treat the NFL stars to a special welcome only Disney can do. Park guests and football fans alike can take it all in, beginning with parade step-off at 2:30 p.m.
The five Pro Bowlers will be joined in the parade by Mickey Mouse and his pals, NFL cheerleaders, finalists for the Don Shula NFL High School Coach of the Year Award and kids and families from Make-a-Wish Central and Northern Florida and the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS).
The parade is one of several activities taking place during Pro Bowl Week which includes events at Disney Springs, Epcot and ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, which is the site of the NFL Pro Bowl Experience, an interactive family-friendly event taking place Wednesday through Saturday. Other events feature fan experiences, free admission to team practices, a 5K run, youth and high school football events and much more.
The 2017 Pro Bowl will be played Sunday night, airing live at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN and ESPN Deportes. It will feature a return to the traditional AFC vs. NFC format. Sunday’s game marks only the fourth time the Pro Bowl has been played in Florida – and its first-ever appearance in Orlando.
