Earlier today the Walt Disney World site updated to give us some exciting info about Rivers of Light. Furthermore, as was just announced during this week’s earnings call, Pandora is set to officially open on May 27th. With these two additions set to turn Disney’s Animal Kingdom into a full day park, a look at park’s calendar shows some significant changes to operating hours.
For Pandora’s debut on May 27th, like many other DAK days, the park was originally scheduled to close at 7 p.m. However, that date now shows that the park will be open until 11 p.m. In fact, that 11 p.m. close time extends through the 29th before moving up to 10 p.m. on May 30th and the 31st (dates beyond that still show a 7 p.m. close, but will almost surely be updated in the coming weeks). Additionally, several dates in the weeks leading up to the grand opening — including the popular Spring Break times in mid-March and April — reflect a closing time of 9 p.m. (You can explore all the operational hours by day for yourself on our Walt Disney World Park Hours page.)
So after a false start last summer, when Rivers of Light was intended to debut, it looks like late night Animal Kingdom is a go once again.
