Today, ABC’s The View held the first of their live broadcasts from Disney’s Animal Kingdom in Walt Disney World. The show opened with the cast of Festival of the Lion King performing “Circle of Life.” Then, from a desk set up in front of the iconic Tree of Life, the ladies discussed their typical hot topics before interview Disney-fan John Stamos, playing for fun pre-recorded packages, and hosting a performance by Andy Grammer. (Update: You can also see highlights from Day 2, including Sherri Shepherd getting scared on Mine Train and kids explaining Star Wars to Joy Behar, right here.)
In one of the highlights of the show — which was slightly spoiled by a viral post on social media this weekend — Whoopi Goldberg shot some segments around Magic Kingdom, including a stop at Haunted Mansion, the Tiki Room, and an appearance with the Dapper Dans:
Speaking of Whoopi, the host also talked about her love for Disney, saying it means family to her. She then shared a heartwarming tale about her mother and brother going to Disneyland:
Lastly, in case you didn’t know, John Stamos is a huge Disney geek. In fact, the handsome star actually Disney bounded as Prince Eric from The Little Mermaid for his appearance as the panel looked at some of the Disney treasures he owns:
Stay tuned for my highlights from The View live in Walt Disney World throughout the week.
