Beginning April 3rd, Magic Kingdom security screenings will largely move to the Transportation and Ticket Center along with hotel monorail stops and other locations. In a move similar to one recently made at the Disneyland Resort, guests will now be screened at the TTC before boarding ferries or monorails instead of in front of the park itself. Additionally, as the Orlando Sentinel reports, hotel monorail stop will also get their own screening locations. Finally, there will still be some bag check and metal detectors near the Magic Kingdom esplanade for guests walking from the Contemporary or taking buses in.
In a statement to the Sentinel, a Disney spokesperson said the changed we part of “an ongoing effort to enhance the arrival experience for guests at the entrance to Magic Kingdom Park.”
