Last night, a Kingdom Hearts concert was held at the home of the Oscars, the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood. Many fans gathered in costume and cheered as selections of Yoko Shimomura’s work performed by a full orchestra. While many thought that the concert ended with an encore that feature Shimomura on piano, she then surprised everyone by introducing the director of the Kingdom Hearts Series, Tetsuya Nomura. Nomura thanked the fans and mentioned that E3, the major video game convention, was about to start. But he said that they would not be revealing any Kingdom Hearts news at E3, but instead they would reveal it at the concert. They then revealed the following footage accompanied by the orchestra.
In this action-packed trailer, Sora, Donald, and Goofy help the Hercules battle various forms of Heartless on Mount Olympus through gorgeous visuals and gameplay.
The end of the trailer promises that a new world and a new trailer will be revealed on July 15, 2017 at the D23 Expo.
