Somewhat buried in a flurry of announcements that came during the Parks and Resorts panel at this year’s D23 Expo was the launch of a point-to-point transportation service at Walt Disney World featuring vehicles inspired by Minnie Mouse. Now the Disney Parks Blog shares that the service, which has often been compared to Uber as it allows guests to book a ride to anywhere in the resort via their smartphone, will launch later this month and be offered to guests to staying at Disney’s Boardwalk Resort or Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resorts to start. However, various Twitter reports indicate a test is already in place and complimentary rides are being offered to resort guests. No future pricing information for the service has been announced just yet, but rumors suggest a $20 per trip charge for the eight-seat vehicle.
