This morning, EW.com debuted the first look at Frozen stars Caissie Levy (Elsa) and Patti Murin (Anna) with Jelani Alladin(Kristoff) and John Riddle (Hans) in two-time Tony and Olivier Award-winning scenic and costume designer Christopher Oram’s designs for the production.
Accompanying the photo are interviews with two of the show’s award-winning artists, director Michael Grandage and scenic and costume designer Christopher Oram. Grandage spoke to EW’s Marc Snetiker of the unique symbiosis between Murin and Levy, the two leading ladies of Frozen. “The camaraderie that’s needed between Patti and Caissie onstage is amplified by the fact that those two, in life and in their work, seem to be very genuinely bonded together. They want to present Anna and Elsa in a very beautiful, very meaningful way, and watching that develop in rehearsal has been quite profoundly moving to me.”
Performances begin tonight for Frozen’s pre-Broadway engagement at the Buell Theatre in the Denver Center for the Performing Arts and continue throughOctober 1, 2017. For information on the Denver engagement visit DenverCenter.org.
