Lucasfilm announced today that the trailer for Star Wars: The Last Jedi will debut on ESPN’s “Monday Night Football” on Monday, October 9, during halftime of the National Football League (NFL) game between the Minnesota Vikings and the Chicago Bears in Chicago. The game starts at 5:15 p.m. PDT/8:15 p.m. EDT.
Following the trailer launch, tickets to the film will be on sale everywhere movie tickets are sold. Star Wars: The Last Jedi will be released Decemeber 15, 2017.
Fans at the Disneyland Resort can watch the trailer for Star Wars: The Last Jedi on a giant screen outside AMC Downtown Disney 12 Theatres in Downtown Disney. The fun begins at 5:00pm with a live DJ, games and giveaways, counting down to the trailer release.
Disney’s El Capitan Theatre will be one of 4 theaters across the country that will be having a marathon of all 8 saga films starting at 9:30pm on December 13.
Across the country, an Opening Night Fan Event. A Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Star Wars: The Last Jedi Double Feature will include exclusive content, Star Wars collectible cards, and a special concession offer. Plus, Star Wars: The Last Jedi will start at 6 p.m. local time, one hour earlier than regular public show times.
