Disney Releases Official Footage of Mark Hamill’s Star Tours Surprise

Note to Disneyland guests: if you’re riding a Disneyland attraction that has a tie-in to an upcoming movie, the star of that film might just show up to join you. This precedent was set when Johnny Depp embedded himself in the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction earlier this year and continued last week as Luke Skywalker himself, Mark Hamill, surprised guests aboard Star Tours. Following a number of short clips of the encounter that surfaced on social media, Disney has now released the official footage of Hamill’s visit, which doubles as a promotion for The Last Jedi.

The next chapter of the Star Wars saga, The Last Jedi, arrives in theatres December 15th.
