Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World has announced a new way for locals to experience Central Florida’s only Five Diamond Award rated property. Two new membership offerings are now available: a Golf Club Membership at Tranquilo Golf Club and a Resort & Golf Club Membership, which provides access to the Resort’s incredible five-acre (two hectare) water park, recreation amenities including the Fitness Center, and more.
With the transition of Tranquilo Golf Club from a public to exclusive course, the course will cease play to the public on February 1, 2018
“Since Four Seasons Resort Orlando opened its doors, there has been substantial interest in both a golf and Resort membership,” says Thomas Steinhauer, Regional Vice President and General Manager of Four Seasons Resort Orlando. “We are thrilled to announce that membership is now an option for those seeking to experience a premier resort lifestyle. In addition to an outstanding golf course, the recreation amenities offered are unparalleled in this region. Combined with our team’s renowned guest service, members are going to love calling Four Seasons their club.”
Tranquilo Golf Club, the only course affiliated with a Five Diamond resort in Orlando, is unique to Central Florida for its varying elevation, abundant wildlife and protected wetlands. The name tranquilo pays homage to the Resort’s Spanish Revival design and tranquil setting, featuring many southern live oak trees with delicate Spanish moss. The 18-hole Tom Fazio-designed course is a Par 71, with a yardage of 6,901 and four sets of tees to accommodate all skill levels. New for 2018, the Golf Club will be updated with an enhanced practice facility including a Par 3 course and putting area. The practice facility features a 400-yard double-ended driving range with a two-acre (.8 hectare) natural grass teeing area, a chipping and pitching area totaling 14,000 square feet (1,300 square metres), and an 18,000 square foot (1,670 square metre) putting course. Tranquilo Golf Club is certified by the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary program for golf by the National Audubon Society, and is home to a nationally televised PGA TOUR Champions event, the DRI Invitational.
The Golf Membership will include golf on the 18-hole course, unlimited use of the practice facilities, special member events, and special rates for guests of members. In addition, members will receive 15 percent savings on purchases in Plancha, the Cuban American restaurant at the Golf Clubhouse, and at the Golf Shop; 10 percent savings on guest room rates at Four Seasons Resort Orlando; and 10 percent savings in the Resort’s two retail boutiques, Wardrobe and Fable.
