What once started as Disney Movies Anywhere before evolving to Movies Anywhere is set to expand once again. As Variety reports, FandangoNow will add support for Movies Anywhere, allowing users to access their film collections via Movies Anywhere’s app or website. FandagoNow joins services iTunes, Amazon Prime Video, Google Play, and Vudu on Movies Anywhere, which offers titles from Disney, Sony, Warner Bros., Universal, and Fox. In all, Movies Anywhere gives users access to almost 7,500 digital movies. Among them, Star Wars: The Last Jedi is now available on the platform and offers an exclusive “music only” mix of the film.
In a statement, Karin Gilford, GM of Movies Anywhere, said, “We are thrilled to welcome FandangoNow, a go-to online destination for movie fans, as our newest digital retailer.” Meanwhile, Fandango’s chief marketing officer Adam Rockmore said of joining Movies Anywhere, “FandangoNow customers will gain simple, streamlined access to their digital movies from Hollywood’s major film studios.”
