Hulu has announced an expansion of their partnership with music streaming service Spotify. Starting this summer, customers can purchase a Spotify and Hulu bundle subscription for $12.99 per month. The new bundle will give users unlimited access to the ad-free Spotify along with access to over 75,000 TV shows and movies on the ad-supported Hulu. Hulu and Spotify had previously offered this promotional bundle to college students, but will now make it available to everyone. Starting today, current subscribers of Spotify’s Premium plan can take advantage of a “99-cent promotional offer to try the Hulu Limited Commercials plan for three months as an introduction to the bundle.”
The Walt Disney Company currently has a 30% stake in Hulu, although they could take a control of the company if the currently-in-the-works Fox deal closes.
