The new kids Pixar Play Zone at the Contemporary Resort has its official opening today and will provide a night out for kids 4-12 years old. Children will enjoy games, dinner, and playtime with Pixar characters during their evening visit.
According to the Disney Parks Blog the new Play Zone will have offerings nightly for kids, ages 4-12 where they can experience an adventure with favorite characters from Pixar’s Toy Story and The Incredibles.
With themed areas named from their favorite movies, kids will be able to visit Bonnie’s Play Room, the Living Room and the Radiator Springs Racetrack. Kids will be entertained all night long with a special Space Ranger Training where they’ll prepare to join Star Command, and learn to keep an eye out for enemies like Emperor Zurg. Woody and Jessie will be on hand for a special sing along as part of Woody’s Roundup, yee-haw!
The fun continues as children build their own race cars and challenge each other to a Piston Cup Derby Race on a soapbox derby track. We’re still not done, folks! Super couple, Mr. and Mrs. Incredible will also host a dance party where they’ll teach kids some cool dance moves so that everyone can have fun. Children joining the festivities for the evening will enjoy dinner, dessert and more.
Parents can take their children to check-in starting at 5 p.m. The evening’s events will begin at 6 pm and end at 10:30 p.m. There is a cost of $65 plus tax per child (4-12 years) and some requirements must be met. Children must be fully toilet-trained and parents need to be physically present for check in and out of the evening’s activities.
