Stacey Adams has been named the VP of Current Programming at ABC, departing a similar position she held at rival CBS. Adams will oversee scripted programming for the alphabet network. In a statement, ABC Entertainment’s head of Current Series Programming, Vicki Dummer, said of Adams, “Stacey is a highly respected, experienced creative executive who is passionate about television. She has strong relationships and great creative instincts, and I am very excited to have her join the team.” At CBS, Adams oversaw such shows as CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and The Big Bang Theory. Her resume also includes serving as the vice president of Drama Development at Paramount/CBS Studios, where she worked with the teams developing shows like Criminal Minds and Ghost Whisperer.
