Disney California Adventure is preparing for some exciting changes. On June 23rd the park will open Pixar Pier and the Lamplight Lounge. The seaside restaurant features California casual gastro-pub cuisine that guests of all ages will enjoy. The Disney Parks Blog shared a sneak peek of what’s coming and let’s just say, it’s impressive.
What’s happening:
- Pixar Pier’s Lamplight Lounge will open on June 23rd as part of the reimagined Pier.
- Guests will enjoy the causal, yet elegant atmosphere of the new restaurant along with gorgeous views of the Pier, and fun Pixar surprises located on both levels of the eatery.
- A delicious array of starters, sides, entrees and beverages will be available for guests including unique signature cocktails.
The opening menu will offer the following dishes:
Potato Skins
Perfectly crispy Yukon gold potatoes, served with brown butter-caper yogurt, smoked paprika aïoli, and Manchego cheese.
Carne Asada Roll
A twist on traditional sushi, the Carne Asada Roll is made with New York grilled strip steak, roasted Fresno chili salsa, escabeche, and crema.
Spinach Salad
Guests wanting to try a new take on the traditional spinach salad won’t need to look any further. Curly spinach with warm wild mushrooms, a soft poached egg, charred onion vinaigrette, shiitake “bacon,” and blue cheese toast.
Chicken Sandwich
The Lamplight Lounge is taking the chicken sandwich to the next level. The savory, spicy sandwich comes with crispy chicken with spicy chili glaze, vinegar slaw, and pineapple butter and served on an Amish bun alongside malted fries.
PB&J Roll
Adults aren’t the only ones to enjoy unique foods. Children will love the fun presentation of a favorite sandwich. The creamy peanut butter and whole wheat “roll” comes drizzled with strawberry jelly and is served with fresh fruit and a flower pot of hummus and veggies.
Lamplight Lounge is part of the reimagined Pixar Pier at Disney California Adventure. Guests will be able to visit both the Pier and the Lounge on Saturday, June 23rd.
