Brock Ciarlelli has reportedly been given a series regular role on The Middle spinoff series staring Eden Sher. The new show will focus on the Heck’s daughter, Sue and will be titled Sue Sue in the City.
What’s happening:
- The Hollywood Reporter announced in an exclusive, that The Middle spinoff series will be titled Sue Sue in the City and will also feature actor Brock Ciarlelli as a series regular.
- Sue Sue in the City will follow middle child and only daughter, Sue Heck on her post college adventures in the big city of Chicago.
- Ciarlelli will reprise his role as Sue’s best friend and confidant, Brad Bottig joining her in the ups and downs of young adult life.
- The Middle creators, DeAnne Heline and Eileen Heisler, will write and executive produce the pilot for the new show.

- In May, ABC announced it was considering a spinoff of The Middle that would focus on the Heck’s daughter. This followed on the heels of the rebooted hit show, Roseanne being canceled.
