ABC has reportedly given a pilot production commitment to a reboot of Dick Wolf’s 1994 series New York Undercover, according to Deadline.
- The New York Undercover reboot will be written by Ben Watkins.
- Watkins and Wolf will join Wolf Entertainment’s Arthur W. Forney and Peter Jankowski as executive producers.
- The new series will be co-produced by ABC Studios and Universal TV.
- New York Undercover aired for four season on Fox from 1994 through 1998.
- The order for New York Undercover matches Wolf’s series order with NBC for a new Law & Order series, Law & Order: Hate Crimes, set to premiere next season.
- This will be Wolf’s first series with ABC since the 2003 reboot of Dragnet, which ran for one season.
