Now that Incredibles 2 has had a successful run and is available on home release, writer and director, Brad Bird is ready to move on to a new project. While very few details have been released, he did tease it’s a musical.
What’s happening:
- Brad Bird is hard at work on his next project and recently shared a few details on the red carpet at the BAFTA Tea Party.
- In a quick interview with Variety, Bird says he’s working on something that he’s wanted to do for a long time and that it’ll be a musical.
- And who will be doing the music? None other than composer Michael Giacchino. Giacchino have Bird have previously collaborated with Giacchino composing the scores for both Incredibles and Incredibles 2.
- Bird also goes on to say that it’s an original project and that there’s about 20 minutes of animation in it.
- At this time, there’s no mention of whether or not Bird is working for Disney, another studio, or independently.
