Disney Legend and The Princess and the Frog star Anika Noni Rose discusses lending her voice to Marvel’s Avengers: Black Panther’s Quest in a new featurette.
- Rose voices the powerful Yemandi, an original Black Panther and Queen of Wakanda, in the upcoming episode of Marvel’s Avengers: Black Panther’s Quest.
- In the new featurette, Rose discusses the process of voice acting and what the role means to her.
- Rose was named a Disney Legend in 2011, two years after starring The Princess and the Frog.
- She also won a Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical in 2004.
- Disney saw some controversy surrounding Rose’s last animated role, when they reanimated Tiana with her original skin tone after facing backlash for changing the character’s look in Ralph Breaks the Internet.
- You can see Rose guest star on Marvel’s Avengers: Black Panther’s Quest this Sunday, January 20 on Disney XD.
