Hulu has reportedly secured the rights to The Untitled Amazing Johnathan Documentary for around $2 million. The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival.

- The deal was reached with the streaming service shelling out $2 million for film.
- The Untitled Amazing Johnathan Documentary made its premiere this past Friday at Sundance Film Festival.
- Ben Berman directed the film which competed in the U.S. Documentary Competition at the Sundance.

- “The film charts the changing journey for Berman after he began a docu called The Amazing Johnathan, about a uniquely deranged magician who built a career out of shock and deception in the 1980s. After Johnathan is diagnosed with a terminal heart condition and given one year to live, he’s forced to retire his act and Berman’s film seemed kaput. Three years later, Johnathan didn’t die, and Berman filmed the illusionist on an epic comeback tour. And then things happened that led the filmmaker to question what is truth and what is illusion.”
