According to a report from USA Today, the body found in the home of Dennis Day has been identified as the missing Mouseketeer who disappeared 11 months ago. The body was identified by the Oregon State Medical Examiner's office but they were not able to use dental records or DNA because of the condition of the body. There is still no word on the cause of death.

A body has been found at the home of missing Mouseketeer, Dennis Day. Officials have not announced the identity or circumstances leading to the discovery of the body.
What’s happening:
- Oregon Live is reporting that a corpse has been found in the home of missing Mouseketeer, Dennis Day.
- According to reports, police found the body on Thursday at the house belonging to Day in Phoenix, Oregon.
- At this time, officials have not announced the identity of the remains or what led to their discovery.
Other facts:
- Day has been missing since last summer. His husband, Ernie Caswell, filed a missing person’s report on July 15, 2018.
- Caswell suffers from memory loss and was in the hospital at the time of Day’s disappearance.
- Oregon Live writes that Day reportedly and “uncharacteristically” left his dog with a friend on the day he disappeared. His car was found on the Oregon coast on July 26.
- Day’s case gained more attention in December, when his family was told about the missing person’s report.
- NBC’s Dateline interviewed his family in February and his niece said, “We are devastated. We had no idea anything was happening, and six months into it, we figured it out. We should have been notified.”
- Following his disappearance, Day’s friends and family members set up a Facebook page, Help Us Find Dennis Day.
About Dennis Day:
- Day, 76, is best known to the Disney community for appearing on the first iteration of The Mickey Mouse Club during the 1950s.
- He was born in 1942, and began acting at the age of 6 when his family moved to California.
- He was 10 when he was cast with the first group of children for The Mickey Mouse Club.
- In 2009, he married his longtime partner, Ernie Caswell. The couple has been living in Oregon since the 1980s.
