Yesterday morning one of Disneyland’s Storybook Land Canal Boats took on water, prompting Disneyland to evacuate riders. No one was injured.
What’s happening:
- The Orange County Register has reported that riders had to be evacuated from Disneyland’s Storybook Land Canal Boats yesterday, when one of the attraction’s vehicles took on water.
- According to the report, around 11:30 am on Monday morning, about 10 children and adults were transferred from one vehicle to another and taken to safety following the incident.
- As part of the attraction, a Disneyland Cast Member is on each boat to operate the ride.
- No one was injured and guests reportedly “were in good spirits” according to Disneyland officials.
- Disneyland provided dry clothes and shoes for the guests who got wet.
- The attraction was then temporarily closed while maintenance Cast Members inspected the ride. They were able to determine how water got into the boat, though that information has not been shared.
- Storybook Land Canal Boats remained closed late Monday afternoon.
